We know life gets busy, and finding time for important health checks can sometimes be tricky. That’s why we’re excited to share that Dr. Olivia Chen is now running dedicated monthly cervical screening clinics at Newton on Saturday mornings.

These clinics are designed with your convenience in mind. Whether you’re balancing work, school, or family commitments, this weekend option offers the flexibility to prioritise your health without the pressure of weekday schedules. With Dr. Olivia Chen’s special interest in women’s health, the dedicated clinic setting ensures a calm and supportive environment, making the process as comfortable and straightforward as possible.

You are eligible for a subsidised* Cervical Screening Test if you are:

  • Aged between 25 and 74

  • Sexually active or ever have been

  • A woman or person with a cervix.

*The test is subsidised by the Government, but normal consultation fees apply.

The Cervical Screening Test is a simple process that looks for signs of the human papillomavirus (HPV) – a common infection that causes most cervical cancers. Most cases of HPV clear up on their own, however, sometimes it can develop into cancer. Performing the Cervical Screening Test every 5 years means your doctor can monitor or investigate HPV further if required.

Booking your appointment is simple.

You can do it online anytime or give us a call at 8360 9777.

Prefer to see your usual doctor? That’s no problem – you’re welcome to book your cervical screening as part of their regular appointments.

Please note: It is preferable not to have your period when your cervical screening test is done, as heavy flow may affect the sample and require a repeat test. Light flow is usually fine. If you’re unsure, please call us on 8360 9777 for guidance.
