MyMedicare is a new voluntary patient registration model that enhances your connection with our practice, your general practitioner, and our primary care team. By registering, you can enjoy a range of personalised benefits designed to improve your healthcare experience with us.
As a MyMedicare patient at East Adelaide Healthcare, you’ll gain access to:
Better continuity of care with your registered GP, helping to achieve better health outcomes.
Longer Medicare-funded telehealth consultations with your GP, offering more time for your care.
Triple bulk billing incentives for extended telehealth consultations for children under 16, pensioners, and concession card holders, starting 1 November 2023.
More frequent GP visits and improved care planning for patients in residential aged care, available from August 2024.
Tailored care for frequent hospital visitors, ensuring you receive the right services in our practice, beginning mid-2024.
If you choose not to register for MyMedicare, don’t worry, you’ll continue to receive the same high-quality care from your healthcare providers.
Are you eligible?
You can register for MyMedicare if you have:
A Medicare or DVA Veteran Card.
Recorded face-to-face visits with our practice - 2 visits in the past 24 months.
Those facing hardship, such as domestic violence or homelessness, are exempt from eligibility requirements.
Parents/guardians can also register their children at East Adelaide Healthcare if one of them is eligible. For children under 14, a parent or guardian must register and provide consent, while teens aged 14 to 17 can register independently.
