When your doctor bulk-bills your consultation, Medicare requires your consent. To make this easier, our software now allows you to give your consent securely and quickly via SMS. After your appointment, you may receive a text message with a link to confirm your consent for bulk-billing.
What You Need to Do:
You’ll receive an SMS asking you to assign your Medicare Benefits to your doctor.
Click the link and enter your date of birth.
Review the details provided and click ‘Accept’ to consent to bulk-billing for your consultation.
You can then download a copy of your bulk-billing consent form for your records.
If you decide not to consent to bulk-billing, our team will contact you to arrange payment for your consultation.
Keeping Your Contact Information Updated:
Please ensure your mobile number is current in our system. If you don’t have a mobile number, we’ll ask you to sign a bulk-billing consent form during your next visit to the practice. If you have any questions about this process, please don’t hesitate to speak with our reception staff or your doctor.
