To all of our patients,
We are excited to share some important updates with you about changes at our Newton practice. From October 1st, East Adelaide Healthcare at Marden and Newton started the process of separating ownership structures. We want to assure you that the same dedicated doctors, supportive nurses, and friendly admin team you know and trust will continue providing the same care you’ve always received.
What This Means for You:
Same Care, Same Team: Your care at Newton will remain unchanged. The same doctors, nurses, and staff will continue supporting your healthcare needs, ensuring that there’s no interruption to our services.
With over 150 years of GP and allied health experience, 70 years of nursing care, and 75 years of admin support, our team has the knowledge and dedication to provide you with exceptional care. Our team includes:
Doctors: Dr Joe Alvaro, Dr Simon Hayward, Dr Andrew Kellie, Dr Maria Sauchelli and Dr Ellen Stamati
Allied Health Practitioners: Ali Alraddy and Tom Beck
Nursing Staff: Anne, Becci, Paula and Tracey
Admin Staff: Brittnee, Christina, Daniel, David, Georgia, Lachlan, Lewis and Rosanna
New Name, Same Trusted Service: As of January 2025, our Newton practice will be rebranded, still led and owned by Dr. Andrew Kellie, who has been an owner of East Adelaide Health Care since 2005.
New Improvements:
As part of this change, we’re introducing several new initiatives to improve your experience:
Extended Clinic Hours: We are pleased to announce that Newton will now be open on Saturday mornings.
New Website: We will be launching our new website soon, where you can stay up to date on our latest improvements, find information about us and our services, book your appointments and engage with us online.
Improved Telehealth Services: We’re investing in better technology to provide high-quality video consultations for our patients.
Better Communication: In 2025, we are planning to transition to new medical software that will improve how we communicate with you—whether it’s accessing test results, clinical documents, or appointment updates. We will also be providing more opportunities for you to share your feedback which will help us to continuously improve your experience.
Reducing Waiting Times: We understand the importance of timely care and how hard it can be to get an appointment. To help reduce waiting times, we are actively looking to expand our medical team to make it easier for you to get an appointment.
For Patients Who Also Visit the Marden Practice:
Beginning October 1st, we will no longer be able to make bookings on your behalf at the Marden practice. If you see a practitioner at Marden as well, you can either book online, contact them directly, or we’ll happily transfer your call. We apologise for any inconvenience, and our Newton team will be here to help you.
What You Need to Do:
There’s nothing you need to do right now. Your medical records are secure, and all your appointments will continue as usual. If you have any questions or concerns, our team is here to help.
If any of your contact details have changed, including your Address, Phone number, Email, Emergency Contact or Next of Kin, please let us know so we can keep our records up to date. You can update your details with our admin team at your next appointment or give us a call.
Have Feedback?
If you’d like to share any suggestions or improvements you’d like to see at our practice in the future, we’d love to hear from you. Simply fill out a Feedback form available at reception and hand it to any of our staff members. We appreciate your input as it helps us improve and continue providing the best care possible.
Thank You:
As we enter this exciting new chapter, we remain dedicated to providing you with the exceptional care you deserve. Your trust and support mean the world to us, and we’re grateful to be a part of your healthcare journey. We look forward to continuing to care for you and your family for many years to come.
The Newton Team
